Comfort Touch at the End of Life

8 CE hours Live online, two half-day sessions Massage therapists, nurses, aides and volunteers

A hands-on class in the simplest and most useful touch there is: slow, still, warm contact for someone in the last weeks and days. What to do with your hands when there is nothing left to fix.

What we cover

  • Stillness as technique: holding, resting contact, paced breathing
  • Hands, feet, face and scalp when the torso is off limits
  • Touch for restlessness, air hunger and terminal agitation
  • Reading a nonverbal person's response moment to moment
  • Being present at the bedside in the final days

Hours, dates and pricing. The next cohort's dates and fee go to the interest list first. Tell us your state on the form and we will confirm how these hours report for your license before you commit to anything.
